New Government Filings Show New Macs, iPads at WWDC 2017
New Macs and iPads could be days away from release.
There’s more apparent confirmation new hardware is likely to play an important role at next week’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, California. New filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) suggest Apple is about to release new iPad and MacBook models, according to Consomac.
The May 30th filings include listings for:
- Four new iPad versions with model identifiers A1670, A1671, A1701, and A1709.
- New Mac laptops with model identifiers A1289, A1347, A1418, A1419, and A1481.
- A new wireless keyboard
Apple is likely to unveil a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro next week alongside a second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The models identified through the EEC could be these tablets in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular varieties.
On the Mac side, we could see next-generation versions of the MacBook and MacBook Pro. The introduction of a new wireless keyboard suggests a new iMac could also be revealed next week.
Apple’s holding its annual WWDC keynote beginning at 10 a.m. PDT on Monday, June 5. Besides new hardware, the company’s expected to announce updated versions of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
