Triby IO Is a Smart Speaker That Can Activate Apple HomeKit Scenes
Invoxia’s Triby smart speaker was the first third-party product to feature support for Amazon Alexa in 2016. And now the company is back with the next-generation of the device – Triby IO – that should definitely please anyone using Apple’s HomeKit protocol.
Each of the five Triby IO buttons can be used to activate different HomeKit scenes.
The new model offers many great features of the original. Designed to stay in your kitchen, its magnetic back can stick to a refrigerator or other magnetic surface.
A low-power e-ink screen shows the time, date, and other important information. A high-quality speaker can play music from Spotify and other sources. It can also be used as an intercom to call anyone using the app.
With the companion app, you can even draw doodles and other messages that will appear on the screen.
Adding HomeKit compatibility makes the device a great smart home hub. You can also control smart home devices through Alexa or IFTTT.
Using the companion app you can assign a number of scenes to each of the five buttons on the device.
