Turn it to 11: The Third-Generation AirPods Are Here With Spatial Audio and More
The third-generation AirPods are here. At today’s Apple event, the company unveiled the next generation of wireless headphones.
As expected, the earbuds are sporting a new design that makes them look closer to the AirPods Pro. The AirPods now also support Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos just like AirPods Max and AirPods Pro.
Another feature previously available on the AirPods Pro, Force Sensor controls allow you to easily control playback with a touch. They also support Adaptive EQ.
The headphones are now sweat and water resistant. They also sport a 6-hour battery life on a single charge. The charging cases provides an additional 24 hours of music.
Along with wireless charging, the AirPods now support MagSafe charging.
The AirPods will retail for $179 and orders can be placed starting today. They will officially arrive next week.
