Apple Unveils MacBook Pro Models With New Design and Faster Chips
Apple has just unveiled a new redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro at today’s event.
A big step up from the previous generation, there are two new options to select from—a 14-inch and 16-inch model.
Both models feature a ProMotion display that can show content at up to 120Hz and sport a mini-LED display just like on the current generation 12-inch iPad Pro.
The upgraded 1,080p camera is enclosed in the new notch on top of the screen. The Mac’s menu bar occupy the space with the notch to provide more space for your content.
Buyers can select from a MacBook Pro with either a M1 Pro or an even faster M1 Max chip.
Apple is also bringing back MagSafe charging to the lineup. Both notebooks also feature an HDMI port and SD card slot. And yes, the often maligned Touch Bar has been replaced with a regular row of function keys.
There are also three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the exterior.
And battery life is getting even better with up to 17 hours of use on the 14-inch model and 21 hours of use on the larger version.
The 14-inch model starts at $1,999 while the 16-inch version begins at $2,499. They will be available to pre-order today and arrive to buyers next week. You can select from a silver or space gray version.
