Well that was fast. One of the best third-party Twitter clients, Tweetbot, has just been updated to support the extended tweet options that started to roll out yesterday.

More room to talk

Twitter announced that uploaded media – including photos, videos, GIFs, and more – will no longer count against the 140-character limit of tweets. Also included is quoted tweets. That will give users more space to say more.

And Tweetbot, starting with version 4.5.1, support the longer tweets.

Earlier in the week, the app was also updated with a slew of new improvements. Along with full support for iOS 10, the app features richer notifications and smoother scrolling on the latest version of the software.

Another nice addition is user profile notes. You’ll be able to write private notes for each profile.
