Content creators can upload 360-degree content, either monoscopic of stereoscopic, at up to 8K resolution.

To help anyone create a great video, head on over to Vimeo’s 360 Video School Lessons that examine how to shoot for the interesting format. There are also a number of different 360-degree videos to view in the special curated channel.

Using the iOS app, you can also use a number of different popular headsets. To sync up, just tap the headset icon in the mobile player or scan the specific headset QR code. If you don’t have a headset, just drag your finger around the screen or tilt an iOS device.

Viewers can also download 360-degrees videos to watch offline.

The Vimeo app is universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, all iPad models, and the fourth-generation Apple TV. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.

Arriving earlier this week, version 6.2 of the app offers some notable improvements. Viewers can now watch specific creators and channels to follow spotted by Vimeo’s curation team.

Along with a new look for the Chromecasting feature, the app’s ability to save offline videos has become smoother.
