YouTube has recently announced that it is rolling out an automatically adapting video player to its iOS apps that will adapt to the video being played.
Bye bye, black bars. 👋

Now the YouTube player on iOS will automatically adapt to the shape of the video you’re viewing! pic.twitter.com/4jzJ6nPj4G
Previously, when playing vertical or square videos, viewers were greeted with black bars. But that’s no longer a worry. And it should make watching any video a better experience on an iOS device.
Since the updating is currently rolling out, all users may not be able to see the change immediately.
YouTube is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
