Drafts For iPhone Takes Note Of Byword And Sparrow Integration
May 15, 2012
It seems that Agile Tortoise's Drafts app for iPhone is being diligently updated once every couple of weeks or so. Drafts received its first update less than two weeks after its release last April 7. Its second update, which was quite sizable, came also less than two weeks later. And now, after — you guessed it — less than two weeks, its third update is here.
Declared the winner of a recent note-taking app showdown here on AppAdvice, Drafts has a considerable number of features, but it manages to contain them all in a clean and minimalist interface. The app lets you quickly jot down any thoughts you might be harboring for the time being with the intention of taking action on them later. The latest update to the app introduces a new action you can take, namely, "Send to Byword." If you have Byword on your device, selecting this action automatically copies your Drafts note onto Byword. This action joins numerous other inter-app actions already supported by Drafts, including "Send to Tweetbot" and "Send to Sparrow."
Speaking of Sparrow, the update changes the action pertaining to the popular Mail alternative so as to prevent the inclusion of an invalid message recipient. Also changed by the update are the "new drafts" timeout (it's now reduced to half a minute) and the Action Settings buttons (they now look like buttons). A new theme called Ultralight is added by the update as well.
Drafts is available in the App Store for $0.99. If you appreciate an app that's regularly updated with new features and routine performance improvements, you must take note of Drafts.
