Groupon HD Rises To The Occasion With Great Deals On Goods, Getaways And More

A month after Groupon for iPhone went to the spa and got a new interface, Groupon HD for iPad has also gotten a much-needed update.
Groupon HD is the official iPad app of the eponymous collective buying site.
The app lets you purchase and redeem Groupon deals right on your iPad. It also offers an easy way to keep track of your purchased group coupons, otherwise known as Groupons, by location or expiration date.
Best of all, it lets you "save ink, and avoid paper cuts by never printing another Groupon." That's quite a big deal, if you ask me.
While it's no big interface overhaul like what Groupon for iPhone recently underwent, the latest update to Groupon HD does deliver several significant new features.
Foremost among these new features is the ability to buy Goods, Getaways, and Occasions deals. Now it's potentially easier and cheaper to buy an acoustic guitar set, book a safari in Kenya, or procure back-to-school items.
And since Groupon is essentially a deal-of-the-day service, it's only appropriate for Groupon HD to finally support daily notifications of new deals.
Groupon HD is available in the App Store for free, as is its iPhone counterpart.
The new version of Groupon HD also lets you discover exclusive deals every time you buy a Groupon. As well, it lets you read merchant reviews courtesy of Yelp, whose own iOS app just got updated too.
