How Do I Love The New Version Of Dolphin Browser? Let Me Count The Ways ...
August 28, 2012
Dolphin Browser for iPhone has just been updated to version 6.0. As it happens, aside from its overall design and interface upgrade, Dolphin Browser 6.0 brings six new enhancements.
First, there’s the new tab management section. Now, when you tap the tabs icon, you can see all of your open tabs in Dolphin Browser’s right sidebar.
The tabs icon is, of course, found in the app’s menu and settings bar. This bar, it should be noted, has been moved from the right panel to the bottom in the new version of Dolphin Browser.
This bar also contains the dolphin icon, which launches the Gesture and Sonar screen. Apart from being easier to access, the Gesture and Sonar screen now sports a sleek, new color.
Moreover, the bottom bar is automatically hidden or shown along with the address bar as you scroll through a page in order to optimize screen space.
And speaking of the address bar, it is now automatically filled with an appropriate search suggestion as you type in it.
Finally, Dolphin Browser has a new speed dial screen, featuring new site buttons and a neat wallpaper to boot.
The new version of Dolphin Browser is available now in the App Store for free.
Lately, I’ve been swinging back and forth between using the default Safari and using Chrome on my iPhone. But the well-thought-out Dolphin Browser 6.0 for iPhone looks set to revamp my mobile browsing behavior.
