It's Time To Update To Version 2.0 Of Colorful Timed To-Do App 30/30

August 17, 2012
You probably didn’t notice, but 30/30 got pulled from the App Store yesterday. What made its disappearance more curious was that it happened shortly after the colorful Pomodoro-like app’s version 2.0 came out. Well, it turned out that 30/30 2.0 had some fatal flaws that needed urgent fixes. And those fixes are now in order in 30/30 2.0.1. Essentially, and quite obviously, version 2.0.1 of 30/30 is the same as its version 2.0. Version 2.0 of 30/30, which debuted early last June, brings a good deal of new features. With the newly updated 30/30, you can now create multiple lists and have all of your lists synced across your iDevices via iCloud. Also, you can now use any of the 27 new, free alert sounds and any of the 72 new icons available through in-app purchase. Moreover, the update enables you to specify seconds in your tasks. Now each of your tasks can be as short as one second or as long as nine hours. And, finally, 30/30 can now notify you about completed tasks even if it’s running in the background. Version 2.0 of 30/30 also brings the following improvements:
  • Deleting tasks has been refined and includes a built-in confirmation.
  • New -/+ buttons on each side of the dial temporarily add or subtract time to the current task.
  • You can easily share your lists with others.
  • You can now launch the app with the 3030:// URL scheme.
  • More gestures allow you to quickly and effortlessly use the new features.
  • More options to help you get more information from your list.
  • Bug fixes to improve stability and fix cosmetic issues.
The new (and fully functional) version of 30/30 is available now in the App Store for free. Now that I’ve written and published this post within 30 minutes, please allow me to take a break for another 30 minutes ... or probably more.
