Don't Become The Undead In New First-Person Endless Runner Into The Dead

December 7, 2012
What do you do after developing a game based on a fantasy-adventure film and another based on a brand of chocolate sandwich cookie? You develop a game based on an original zombie-themed idea, of course! At least that's what PikPok just did. After releasing both DreamWorks Dash n Drop and Oreo: Twist, Lick Dunk last month, the Wellington-based iOS game developer is abandoning color in favor of gore this month. This month, PikPok, which also developed Adult Swim's Super Monsters Ate My Condo, is celebrating the launch of Into the Dead. Out now for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Into the Dead is a bloody blend of endless runner and first-person shooter elements. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Set in a remarkably rendered zombie apocalypse, Into the Dead challenges you to stay alive for as long as you can by running as far as you can. Zombies are everywhere, and you have to avoid them along your way in order for you to survive. Or … You know, you can just shoot them with a variety of unlockable weapons. And, preferably, with total abandon too. Also featuring challenging missions and Game Center integration, Into the Dead is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
