Speedier Facebook iOS App Now Also Supports Upload Album Selection
December 14, 2012
Facebook has just released a new update to its iOS app, delivering a long-overdue feature plus better performance.
A couple of weeks after gaining support for automatic photo syncing, the official universal iOS client of the popular social network has just gained another photo-related feature.
At long last, thanks to the app's new update, it is now possible to choose a particular album when uploading photos on Facebook for iOS.
Note that this option has long been present in Facebook Camera, the social network's official standalone camera app for iOS. So, it's nice to finally see it in the main Facebook app.
This "special-purpose app first, main app second" principle of Facebook's is also apparent between Facebook Messenger and the main Facebook app.
The former, which is Facebook's standalone messaging app, gained certain chat capabilities long before they were added to the latter.
Beyond the app's new upload album selection feature, the latest update to Facebook for iOS also promises faster loading of the news feed and a completely rebuilt timeline.
The latest version of Facebook for iOS is available now in the App Store for free.
