Cycloramic 2.0 Revolves Around Capturing Panoramic Photos

January 25, 2013
The innovative panoramic video capturing app Cycloramic has just been updated to version 2.0. As promised by developer Egos Ventures, Cycloramic's 2.0 update introduces the much-requested panoramic photo mode. As a result, Cycloramic is no longer just an innovative panoramic video capturing app. It's now also an innovative panoramic photo capturing app. Cycloramic's new panoramic photo capturing capability comes in two modes, namely, hands-free and guided. Hands-free panoramic photo mode, which is available for iPhone 5 only, is, of course, based on Cycloramic's hands-free panoramic video mode. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. In hands-free mode, you just have to place your iPhone in an upright position on a level surface and tap "Go" on the screen. Your iPhone will then automatically vibrate and rotate 360 degrees while taking multiple pictures. Cycloramic instantaneously stitches these pictures together to generate a panoramic picture. This picture, in turn, can then be viewed in the app's immersive zoom-enabled 3-D viewer. For its part, the guided panoramic photo mode, which can be used on an iPhone 4/4S/5, iPod touch, or iPad, provides a special sound and vibration guide system. According to Egos Ventures, this system makes the guided mode "so simple to operate that users can take a panoramic photo even with their eyes closed!" Guided mode also features instantaneous stitching and 3-D viewing with zoom. Optimized for iDevices running iOS 6.0 or later, Cycloramic 2.0 is available now as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
