Cinemagram 2.0 Introduces Vine-Like Features Including Sound, Categories And More

April 25, 2013
Since the release of the hugely popular Vine last January, Cinemagram, which was released in February last year, has received quite a few major updates. But perhaps none of those updates are more significant than Cinemagram's new 2.0 update, which brings a number of Vine-like features. First and foremost, Cinemagram 2.0 boasts a new interface, including a recording screen that lets you capture "cines" in the manner of Vine. That is, you just hold anywhere on the screen and subsequently release your hold to record discrete scenes. The latest update to Cinemagram also adds sound to cines, which has been part of "vines" since the beginning of Vine. Further, it adds effects to cines, including looping, fast forward, and reverse. To Cinemagram's credit, such effects are yet to be added to Vine. Further still, though, the update introduces cine categories, which are similar to Vine's hashtags. Cinemagram's categories are aimed at helping you find interesting so-called Cinemagrammers to follow. Creative, Cute, Food, Funny, Nature, Sports, and Travel are just a few of the categories you can discover in Cinemagram 2.0. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, and featuring a less colorful yet more beautiful app icon, Cinemagram 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
