Zeebox, the second-screen service touted as "your TV sidekick," has once again received an update for its universal iOS app.
The latest update to Zeebox for iOS adds the ability to search the TV schedule for just about anything. In particular, the app's search capability now works on cast, crew, and show descriptions. So, search all the things!
The update also introduces a new setup whereby programs that are showing for the first time are tagged as "New" while shows that are broadcasting live are tagged as "Live."
Also, Zeebox now displays release dates for movies. Whether you want to watch some classics films or more recent blockbusters on TV, Zeebox lets you easily see which is which.
A couple of months ago, Zeebox received an update that included, among others, support for profile pages. Now, the new update brings improved privacy settings for user profiles.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Zeebox is available now in the App Store for free.
Zeebox was launched on iOS in September last year. It then went on to earn a spot in AppAdvice's list of Top 10 Best Free iPad Apps of 2012.
