Easily Share Your Face Artwork Along With A Coded Message Using iMadeFace's New iID

June 4, 2013
The popular avatar-making app iMadeFace has just received another major update. The app's previous major update, which arrived last March, introduced a face-matching mini-game built into iMadeFace. Also, it added a variety of new elements, including different types of beards, hair styles, eyes, and lips. Now, iMadeFace's new major update, which pushes the app to version 3.0, also adds new elements. The new elements can be found in the app's new Earring and Headwear packs, each of which may be unlocked via a $0.99 in-app purchase. But the biggest addition in iMadeFace 3.0 is a new feature called iMadeFace iD, or simply iID. This new feature lets you encode your face artwork along with a short message into a 2-D barcode or QR code. You can then share your iID with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, and email, among other channels. They just have to scan your iID with the new version of iMadeFace to see your face artwork as well as your short message. Of course, you can also scan other users' iIDs to instantly see their face artwork and messages. In line with this, the gallery section in iMadeFace now has three tabs. One is for face artworks, as usual, and the two additional tabs are for scanned iIDs and local copies of the iIDs you've shared with others. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, iMadeFace 3.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
