Newsify Updated With Feedly Cloud Support Ahead Of Google Reader Shutdown
June 20, 2013
Yesterday, Feedly announced that it has made its Cloud service available to all users, including, most notably, users who are looking to migrate to a new RSS client ahead of Google Reader's shutdown at the beginning of next month. In its announcement, Feedly also highlighted a number of apps that are already connected to Feedly Cloud. One of these apps is the popular iOS feed reader Newsify.
Indeed, Newsify has been enhanced with support for Feedly Cloud through its new 2.0 update:
Good news! We've partnered with Feedly to keep Newsify working after Google Reader shuts down on July 1. To transfer your data, open Newsify and follow the instructions to log in to Feedly.Note that after logging in to Feedly, your unread items in Newsify may not match with your unread items on Google Reader. In any case, you can go to the app's account setting screen to switch back to your Google Reader account until July 1 in order to read any missing items. Note also that you may experience a crash after logging in if you have over a hundred feeds or folders. If you do encounter this issue, you are advised to reopen the app until it stops crashing. Newsify 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. The new version of the app also includes improved Facebook sharing and some bug fixes. Newsify is included in AppAdvice's App Showdown of RSS reader apps for iOS. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
