Cydia Tweak: NESUnlocker Will Replace Slide-To-Unlock With An NES Controller
by Joe White
July 28, 2013
One forthcoming jailbreak tweak called NESUnlocker promises to replace the slide-to-unlock screen on an iPhone handset with a virtual Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) controller.
Though a number of similar packages have appeared in the Cydia Store over the past few years, including Unfold, Pinch to Unlock, and - most recently - Pattern Unlock, NESUnlocker instead replaces the side-to-unlock mechanism with a virtual rendition of the classic game console's controller.
In the jailbreak tweak's Settings app pane, users will be able to configure an unlock pattern for NESUnlocker, and will also have the option of enabling and disabling the jailbreak tweak. Once enabled, the preconfigured NES controller pattern will need to be inputted when users wish to unlock their handset.
