Action-based email app Dispatch has just received an update that adds a number of nice new features to the successful title.
Version 1.1 of the app is highlighted by support for TextExpander touch snippet expansion. Localized language support has also been added for German, Japanese, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
And along with a revamped and simplified interactive walkthrough experience for new users, the app can now open a Web link with the popular third-party Dolphin Browser. The client can also integrate with a large number of other apps, including Evernote, OmniFocus, and Due.
Here’s the complete list of fixes in the new version:
• Bug where emails sent from Dispatch may appear to contain code such as ' when viewed in Outlook and other mail clients • Bug where links are prefixed with an extra :// when opened with 1Password • Compatibility issues with iOS 7 • Sign-in issues • Call with Skype issues • Several display issuesDispatch: Action-Based Email is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for $2.99, which is 40 percent off the normal $4.99 price. The app received its first update almost two months ago. That version brought support for both Pocket and Readability. Originally released in early June, our own Christine Chan was pleased with the app in her original review. She singled out both the supported actions and snippets as very useful features.
