Get Hooked On The Mikey Shorts Sequel Mikey Hooks, Out Now In The App Store

A couple of weeks ago, BeaverTap Games announced that it had submitted the sequel to Mikey Shorts for Apple's approval. Then, last week, the developer tweeted that the game, titled Mikey Hooks, would be released this Thursday, Aug. 8. Well, guess what. Mikey Hooks has already swung its way toward the App Store. As in its predecessor, there's plenty of pixelated platforming fun to be had as you collect coins and find Golden Shorts in Mikey Hooks. The big difference, or the biggest hook for that matter, is that the new game has you controlling the title character as he swings on hooks from level to level. Mikey Hooks is available now in the App Store for $1.99. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, and is enhanced with iCloud support for cross-device syncing. The original Mikey Shorts is available in the App Store for $0.99. Its free editions, Mikey Shorts Lite and Mikey Shorts Halloween, are also available.
