Mail Ninja Updated With Online Folder Search, Alias Support And Other Enhancements

August 26, 2013
Mail Ninja, the email app developed by TocoBox for iPhone and iPod touch, has just received a major update. Released last June, Mail Ninja is an email app that supports Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, iCloud, and generic IMAP accounts. It includes a unified inbox for multiple accounts and offers push notifications as well. Like some of the most popular email apps for iOS, Mail Ninja is gesture-based. It allows the use of simple swipes for performing common email management actions, such as deleting, archiving, searching, and updating. In addition, it boasts a corner-swipe feature for easy one-hand navigation toward the previous screen. As mentioned, Mail Ninja has just received an update. This new update delivers several new features and improvements. First off, Mail Ninja now lets you search within online folders. Just go to the app's home screen and type a keyword in the search bar. You can also filter search results by tapping the avatar of a specific contact. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The latest update to Mail Ninja also adds support for account editing. Again, go to the app's home screen, but this time, tap the Settings option. Then, tap Accounts to see and edit your accounts. You can add a new account, or swipe an existing account to the right to toggle it or to the left to delete it. Furthermore, you can tap an existing account to change your password for it or add an associated email alias. Indeed, Mail Ninja has been updated with support for email aliases, too. The update also fixes an issue concerning inbox updating and delivers a number of stability improvements. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, Mail Ninja is available in the App Store for free. An in-app purchase worth $2.99 is offered for adding support for folders and labels.
