New Images Strongly Hint That The iPhone 5S Will Feature A Dual-LED Flash

August 12, 2013
Supporting previous reports that the upcoming iPhone 5S will feature a dual-LED flash, French technology website NWE has republished purported photos of the top and bottom strips of the next-generation handset. And the significantly larger flash hole could easily fit two LEDs. As we reported back in June, the two LEDs would throw off different colors of light – white and yellow. That should help lead to even better indoor photos. The next-generation handset is also expected to have an improved photo sensor as Apple continues to hype the iPhone’s ability to take great pictures. Along with the photography improvements, the iPhone 5S will reportedly include a home button that is convex shaped and sapphire coated. That will allow the rumored fingerprint sensor to fit in the small space. On Saturday, AllThingsD broke the story that the new iPhone will be introduced in an event on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The site has a spectacular track record with the same type of information. And a little earlier this morning, long-time Apple watcher Jim Dalrymple confirmed the date with his trademark “Yep.”
