Good news, Pebble users. Though the iOS compatible smart watch gained support for email notifications at the beginning of the month, the companion Pebble Smartwatch app has recently received an update adding native support for push email.
Of course, this now means that rather than "fetching" for new email every 15 minutes, Pebble users will have new messages "pushed" over to their smart watch, resulting in a far better experience. In addition, support for AOL- and iCloud-powered email accounts has been fixed.
As outlined in the app's release notes, changes made in version 1.2.1 of the Pebble app include:
Pebble Smartwatch 1.2.1 can be downloaded now in the App Store, and is optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch only.
