Donna Gains Advance Notice Improvements, Favorites Feature And More
September 8, 2013
Donna, the virtual companion app that's designed to help you manage your day, has just received its second major update.
This new update comes just a couple of weeks after the app's first major update. That update added support for setting appointments to public transit and displaying all-day appointments such as birthdays and anniversaries.
This time, Donna has been updated with further improvements. I'll let Donna herself tell you about a couple of them:
Has it only been a couple of weeks? Time is so different when I deal with it constantly (so you don't have to). Speaking of time, I know that sometimes, you need a little bit more notice before it's time to leave so now you can set how far in advance I should inform you. I've also got some improvements for the nightly summaries I send. Instead of sending you summaries every night, you can now choose to only get them when you have appointments the next day—or not at all.The latest update to Donna also adds support for favorites. This new feature enables you to set up names for places that you use frequently, such as conference rooms and "Dad's house." It also allows you to enter a location with a single tap. The new version of Donna is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. The newly updated app also includes compatibility optimizations for iOS 7. For more information on Donna, check out Christine's original review of the app here on AppAdvice.
