Official Angry Birds Star Wars II Trailer Shows What It Is Like On ‘The Pork Side’

Less than a week before its scheduled arrival in the App Store on Thursday, Sept. 19, Rovio has released the official gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Angry Birds Star Wars II.

Most interestingly, we actually get our first taste of what it will look like to ‘Join the Pork Side’ and play against the Angry Birds.
Featuring more than 30 pig and bird characters from the Star Wars universe, Angry Birds Star Wars II will be a universal title designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It will cost $0.99 to download.
One of the more interesting new features of the app is the ability to use Skylander-like Telpods to transport characters directly into the game using just an iOS device’s front-facing camera.
In celebration of the new app, Rovio has been busy bringing some nice updates to other Angry Birds titles. To start, the original Angry Birds Star Wars received 30 new Endor-themed levels yesterday. And a little earlier today, the Cosmic Crystal update arrived for Angry Birds Space that added 35 new levels.
If you can’t wait until next Thursday, you can download the original Star Wars Angry Birds now in the App Store. The iPhone/iPod touch version will set you back $0.99 while the iPad/iPad mini edition is $2.99.
Along with Infinity Blade III, next week is looking to be a fantastic time for iOS gamers.
