As expected, the original Angry Birds game has just received a new content update. This update is part of Rovio's week-long countdown to the highly anticipated launch of Angry Birds Star Wars II, which is set for this Thursday, Sept. 19. The countdown began four days ago with the release of a new content update for Angry Birds Star Wars. The following day saw the release of the official gameplay trailer for Angry Birds Star Wars II alongside another content update for Angry Birds Space. Today, it's the original Angry Birds game's turn to be updated in celebration of the imminent launch of Angry Birds Star Wars II:

The additional 15 levels of classic Angry Birds gameplay delivered by the update brings the total level count in the original game to an impressive 465. And in these levels, you can take advantage of the all new manual targeting feature to fling Red the red Angry Bird with more accuracy than ever. Angry Birds for iPhone and Angry Birds HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 and $2.99, respectively.
