Pinterest 3.0 Brings New iOS 7-Inspired Design And New Way To Navigate Between Pins

October 18, 2013
The official iOS app of the popular pinboard-style photo-sharing site Pinterest has just been updated to version 3.0. Pinterest 3.0 features a new design as well as a new way to navigate between pins in feeds. The app's new design, unsurprisingly, matches the clean and simple look and feel of iOS 7, which was released a month ago. It's applied on both the app's iPhone and iPad editions. But the new way to navigate between pins in feeds is initially available in the app's iPhone edition. This lets you swipe left or right to move between pins. The Pinterest team explains this new navigation feature in a new blog post:
To try it out, tap any pin in your home feed. Then swipe your finger from right to left to get a peek at the next pin in line. You can go backwards too! You can do this anywhere you see a feed of pins: on a board, through your own pins, or in our category feeds. While you’re at it, try swiping up when you’re looking at a specific pin—we’ll show you a bunch of related pins below.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Pinterest 3.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
