Black Friday Meets Black Balls Of Goo As World Of Goo HD Goes Free For First Time Ever

November 30, 2013
This Black Friday, why not treat yourself to an acclaimed physics-based puzzle game about building structures using black balls of goo (and other goo balls of other colors, for that matter)? Because you most certainly can by downloading World of Goo HD in the App Store for absolutely free. Originally called World of Goo, World of Goo HD was released on iOS in December 2010 as a $9.99 game. Since then, it has undergone a number of pricing changes, undoubtedly the most enticing of which is the most recent one, which was put into effect just a few hours ago. Presumably in celebration of Black Friday, developer 2D Boy has made World of Goo HD available to download free of charge for the first time ever since its launch in the App Store. So, go ahead and get it if, for some reason, you haven't downloaded it before. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. World of Goo HD is available in the App Store for free. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later. Also available in the App Store is the game's "pocket" edition, simply called World of Goo and optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. But unlike the currently free World of Goo HD, it costs $2.99 to download right now. Both World of Goo HD and World of Goo were updated last August with support for the 4-inch screen resolution of iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and fifth-generation iPod touch. It was also then localized into French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.
