Befitting the holiday season's spirit of giving and sharing, Google has just released the iOS version of One Today. One Today is Google's formerly Android-only app that makes giving to charity a cinch, one dollar at a time. One Today encourages you to:
With One Today, you can learn about a different project from a nonprofit organization every day. Today, for example, the app is highlighting a project from Charity: water, a nonprofit that brings clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. One Today adapts to your usage habits, getting better at picking projects for you the more you engage with it. If you find a project you like, you can donate to it by pledging $1. If you wish to donate more, you can pledge to match donations by sharing the project with your friends on social media. Note that One Today doesn't charge you immediately after you pledge donations. Rather, it groups your donations together for easy payments through Google Wallet. Your chosen nonprofits then receive monthly project donations through Google's fundraising partner, Network for Good. Note, too, that your donations are tax-deductible and are grouped together for easy year-end tax planning. One Today is available now in the App Store for free. It's optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
