Quora Gains New Bottom Tab Bar And Top Search Box For Quicker Navigation

January 13, 2014
The official iOS app of the popular Q&A-based social networking site Quora has just received another notable update. Last September, around the same time Klout released a Quora-like app called Cinch, the Quora app was updated to version 3.0. Quora 3.0 featured a new design for iOS 7, including seamless browsing and discovery, multiple feeds, and instant open and voting from feed. Then, late last October, Quora was updated to version 3.1 with the ability to add photos in answers, posts, and comments, along with other enhancements. Now, Quora has been updated to version 3.2 with a new bottom tab bar that effectively replaces the app's previous sidebar-based navigation. Along with the new bottom tab bar, a new top search box is included in Quora 3.2 for quicker and easier navigation:
  • The "Feed" button goes back to your feed
  • The "Open Qs" button shows you questions to answer or follow
  • The "Question" button lets you add a question
  • The "Notifs" button shows your notifications
  • The "More" button shows your profile, inbox, and more
  • The top search box is where you start a search
Quora 3.2 is available now in the App Store for free. It's optimized for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Last week, Twitter cofounder Biz Stone released another Quora-like app called Jelly. For more information on that other Q&A app, check out Just Ask And You Shall Receive Great Answers With Jelly.
