Build Stuff And Solve Puzzles Using The Laws Of Physics In New Sandbox Game Principia

February 26, 2014
The indie developer Bithack has had great success with its Apparatus sandbox game for Android. And now, it's building on that success with a follow-up game called Principia, which has just been released on iOS in addition to Android. Principia is a physics-based puzzle adventure sandbox game that's tightly integrated with the community website of the same name. The game contains more than 190 unique objects, any number of which you can combine mechanically and electronically to create new things that you can upload to the website for sharing with other players. Principia comes with an adventure mode that lets you play freely and build contraptions, bridges, and vehicles for a robot trying to reach the goal in every level:
In Adventure mode you play as the robot, you can interact with the physics freely and even build using objects as you play. Gather resources by mining, and gather oil by installing Oil Rigs. Use the factory to construct objects that can be used for building your own house or maybe a spacecraft!

The game also invites you to participate in weekly contests, which challenge you to build something based on certain topics and reward you with site badges. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Principia is available now in the App Store for $3.99.
