Compose, The Quick Compose Jailbreak Tweak, Launches For iOS 7

Compose, The Quick Compose Jailbreak Tweak, Launches For iOS 7

March 17, 2014

Compose has launched for iOS 7, making it possible for jailbreakers to easily add “quick compose” widgets to the iOS Control Center. You can pick up Compose for iOS 7 on the Cydia Store for $0.99, and it's fully optimized for ARM64-devices.

Before now, Compose worked by adding widgets to Notification Center, which users could then access and activate in order to send messages on the fly. The new iOS 7-optimized package works in a similar way, but rather than adding widgets to Notification Center it runs alongside the more recently added Control Center.

In order to do this, Compose utilizes CCLoader, which we've talked about before.

Once everything's been installed on your jailbroken iOS device, users can jump into the built-in Settings app in order to configure the package. Compose adds two buttons to Control Center which are located above the brightness slider, and in the package's preferences pane users can choose which quick compose widgets are added.

Here's a list of quick compose widgets supported by Compose (via iDownloadBlog). As you can see, the package can integrate with a wide-ranging number of iOS apps:

  • Messages
  • WhatsApp
  • Facebook
  • Snapchat
  • BBM
  • Tumblr
  • Tweetbot
  • Instagram
  • Clear
  • Calendar
  • Twitter
  • Fantastical
  • Drafts

Switching widgets occurs immediately without the need for a respring or reboot, meaning users can easily try adding a number of different quick compose widgets to Control Center before deciding on the setup they like best. All in all, it's a useful package that jailbreakers should enjoy.

As mentioned, Compose for iOS 7 can be downloaded on the Cydia Store for $0.99, and it's optimized for ARM64-devices.
