Cydia Tweak: QuickPass Adds A Useful Passcode Toggle To The Settings App

March 28, 2014

QuickPass is a new jailbreak tweak that makes it incredibly easy for users to quickly toggle the iOS passcode lock on and off. The useful package is available now on the Cydia Store for $0.99, and it’s optimized for iOS 7 and ARM64-devices.

Once installed, the $0.99 package adds a passcode lock toggle button to the built-in Settings app. The button is neatly added beneath the AirPlane Mode toggle and above the Wi-Fi toggle in the application’s main page, and its design fits perfectly with the iOS 7 Settings app.

As you’d expect, switching the passcode toggle on enables your preset passcode, while switching it off disables your passcode. You don’t need to reenter your passcode in order to toggle QuickPass, but in order to disable the passcode you will need to have passcode-unlocked your iOS device in the first place.

If you often find yourself switching your passcode on and off whenever you leave and return home, this looks to be a particularly useful jailbreak tweak. Though of course, Touch ID makes locking and unlocking an iPhone handset both easier and more secure.

Until all of our iOS devices feature a Touch ID-equipped Home button, QuickPass can help. As mentioned, the new jailbreak tweak is available to download for $0.99 on the Cydia Store, and it’s optimized for iOS 7 and ARM64-devices.
