Facebook For iOS Updated To Version 8.0 With Several Improvements
March 18, 2014
Facebook has just updated its main iOS client app to version 8.0. But don't let the whole-number versioning fool you: Facebook 8.0 doesn't actually deliver enhancements as big as a "dot oh" normally entails.
Nevertheless, the new version of Facebook for iOS does bring a couple of welcome adjustments, in addition to the usual improvements to the app's speed and reliability.
First, it brings a simple way to see and choose the audience of a photo album. And second, it brings an updated design for easier posting and sharing on iPad, featuring a bigger post window and easier selection of your post's audience.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Facebook 8.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
Facebook 7.0 was released about a month ago. It brought nothing but bug fixes.
A couple of weeks ago, Facebook updated its Paper news reader app with new sharing options and other improvements. The app was released for iPhone and iPod touch a month prior.
