Macworld/iWorld 2014: Sync What You Write On Paper Onto Your iDevice With Livescribe 3
March 29, 2014
We've featured Livescribe 3 several times here on AppAdvice. But we're featuring the iOS-compatible smart pen once again as our own Dom Esposito has gotten to stop by Livescribe's booth at this year's Macworld/iWorld trade show.
Check out the video below for Dom's chat with a Livescribe representative highlighting the key features of Livescribe 3:
As noted in the video, Livescribe 3 is a smart pen that lets you automatically capture whatever you write on the special Livescribe dot paper and sync it with your Bluetooth-paired iDevice. The pen works with the Livescribe+ app for iOS to instantly sync everything you write on paper and have it organized, tagged, or converted to text.
Livescribe 3 also works with third-party notebook apps, including Evernote and Outline, which was the first app to have received support for Livescribe's SDK.
In his in-depth review of Livescribe 3, my colleague Joe White enthused:
If you’re looking for an iOS-compatible smart pen and are willing to pay, look no further. Livescribe 3 is an impressive, usable product and we’re pleased with what it offers. The smart pen is great, the companion application works well, and the dot paper provides a few useful features. As such, Livescribe 3 is a product we’re happy to recommend. If you want to get writing with Livescribe 3, you can buy it for $149.95 or its Pro edition (including a one-year subscription to Evernote Premium) for $199.95 from Livescribe's website.
