Another popular iOS app will soon be receiving a big update. After Flexibits teased the iPad version of its calendar app Fantastical 2 on Tuesday, Realmac Software unveiled some big news of its own about the Clear to-do app. An update, which should arrive early next month, will add a reminder function to both the iOS and Mac app. The company announced the news in a blog post:
The team has been working incredibly hard to make this happen, however we also want to make reminders as intuitive as possible - and that means we’ve been constantly tweaking and refining how things work. The changes mean we’ve over-run from our (already-delayed) March launch - and we’re now looking to release the updates in early April. We know that some of you were eagerly awaiting this update, and we’re sorry to disappoint those of you expecting the update this month: we simply want to make sure everything’s just right! And as you can see, Realmac also posted an image of how reminders will look in the iOS version. Behind it seems to be a blurred shot of the same functionality in the Mac edition. The update will also allow users to customize the app’s sounds. The two new sound packs will be free for Mac users and available as in-app purchases for Clear users. Anyone who purchased Clear+ can snag the new sounds for free. Visit the developer’s site for more information. The current iOS version of Clear, which is universal for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99. The OS X version costs $9.99 on the Mac App Store.
