True Skate Gets Its Anticipated Update Adding Another New Skatepark
True Skate, the popular skateboarding game for iOS, has received another update adding a brand new skatepark to the application. As expected, True Skate 1.2.4 now offers iOS device gamers “The Warehouse” – an unlockable arena that can be accessed for a $0.99 in-app purchase (IAP).
It was only a few days ago that developer True Axis provided fans of the app with their first look at The Warehouse. As we explained at the time:
the new skatepark is called “The Warehouse,” and as you’d expect it’s an indoor arena full to the brim with ramps and rails. True Axis has submitted the update to Apple, and provided no problems are encountered in the release it should roll into the App Store this coming Thursday.
True Skate didn’t get updated on Thursday as expected, but the 1.2.4 update didn’t miss this estimate by much. As mentioned, you can access the new skatepark now in the application by making a $0.99 IAP. Several other skateparks are also available to unlock for the same price.
True Axis first announced that four new skateparks were en route to True Skate back in December, and the last of these to surface in the App Store was called “Schoolyard.”
The app also received a bunch of improvements at the time, too, including:
- Improved lip grinds.
- Improved feeble grinds on ledges.
- Improved camera angle for transitions.
- New swipe sensitivity slider in options. (Default sensitivity has been lowered)
- Limit ollie heigh when jumping onto a grinds by touching the board before it reaches its maximum height.
- To ollie over rails rather then grind them, forward on an board rather then holding it still when catching the ollie.
- Performance improvements.
- Anti-aliasing enabled newer devices.
- Fixed ollie boost bug on vert ramps.
- New scoring system for lines.
You can download the updated True Skate in the App Store now. If you don’t already own the application, it’ll set you back $1.99 and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
