April 25, 2014
Welcome back to our weekly look at some of the latest iOS device accessories to hit the market. Today, we’re featuring a rugged iPad Air case, a portable power bank, and more.
Incipio Capture for the iPad Air
A rugged case choice for the iPad Air, Incipio’s new Capture is highlighted by an adjustable, rotating hand strap that allows users to keep full control of the tablet. Along with a shock-absorbing exterior, the port covers help protect the tablet from small splashes of water and dust. Users can also apply an optional, included screen protector if desired.
Available in three different color schemes, the case retails for $89.99 and can be purchased now from Incipio’s site.
Power Reserve from Mophie
While Mophie is well-known for its line of battery cases for the iPhone, its new Power Reserve is a compact and quick charge battery with a Lightning connector. Weighing in at less than 2 ounces, the battery can connect quickly to a keychain and detach when needed. The cell can charge a completely dead iPhone up to 50 percent power.
The Power Reserve is available in three different colors – black, red, and white. It retails for $49.95. The black version is available to purchase now while the red and white editions will ship later this month.
ShockDrop Sports Series For The iPad 2-4 from Hard Candy Cases
An inexpensive case option for the iPad 2-4, the new ShockDrop Sports Series case from Hard Candy offers 10mm of protection at the corners. A semi-rigid and replaceable screen protector and tear proof flaps help complete the package. The body of the case slims down to 6mm so it can easily fit into a bag or a charging cart.
Buyers can select from two different color combinations – black/lime and gray/orange. It can be ordered now from Hard Candy’s site now for $39.95.
Elegant Bloom Necklace for the Misfit Shine
A perfect new accessory for the Misfit Shine fitness tracker, the Bloom Necklace is crafted from stainless steel and celebrates floral patterns in nature. The fitness tracker quickly snaps onto the necklace. It comes with an 18-inch chain and 2-inch extender. It is designed to match any color of the tracker. I reviewed the Shine last year, and really enjoyed the tracker’s flexibility and simplicity.
The necklace is $79.99 and can be ordered now directly from Misfit’s site. It will ship sometime after Mother’s Day.
15-Inch Rough Rider Leather Messenger Bag from WaterField Designs
WaterField Designs’ popular Rough Rider Leather Messenger Bag is growing. The 13-inch version was released earlier this year, but after getting numerous requests from customers, the company has now announced a version of the bag that holds up to a 15-inch laptop. You can read more about the bag here in our original review.
Buyers can select from one of six accent colors for their bag. It costs $355 and can be ordered now from WaterField Designs’ site. It will begin shipping in late May.
