Cydia Tweak: Bulb Is A Handy Status Bar Indicator For The LED Flashlight

May 20, 2014

Have you ever left your iPhone's LED flashlight on? It's easier to do than you may think, though fortunately, however, one new jailbreak tweak can help users avoid leaving their handset's LED shining and draining the smartphone's battery.

Called Bulb (and first spotted by iDownloadBlog), the jailbreak tweak is as simple as it is effective. Once downloaded and installed, the free package adds a status bar icon whenever the LED flashlight is activated. Of course, it's hoped that having the status bar indicator enabled will remind users to switch off their iPhone's flashlight when it's not needed.

Take a look:

Is this something you'll find useful? Granted, leaving the LED flashlight activated might be a rare occurrence, but given that Bulb is free to install from the Cydia Store, we think it's more than worth the download.

Bulb is indeed one of several jailbreak tweaks which have impressed us over the last few days. Earlier today, we told you about SearchSettings and WallCycler, two useful free packages from the popular jailbreak developer Ryan Petrich (@rpetrich).

We also recently discussed Canopy for iOS 7, Knock, InTube, and SlideCut, all of which are also worth checking out.

As mentioned, Bulb can be downloaded free of charge on the Cydia Store, and it's optimized for iOS 7 and ARM64-devices.
