Zynga’s Addictive Endless Runner Stampede Run Is Apple’s Free App Of The Week

It’s Thursday, so that means Apple has just chosen a new App of the Week to go free. And for the next seven days, that honor goes to Zynga’s fun endless runner Stampede Run.
During the game, players are tasked with outrunning the bulls on the streets of Spain.
Along with a fun single player contest, gamers can even run with their friends or challenge new ones to see who can run the longest.
There are two different versions of the game that can be downloaded now on the App Store. Stampede Run is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch while Stampede Run HD is made for the larger screen of the iPad and iPad mini. As usual, with this type of game, there are a number of in-app purchase opportunities.
Originally unveiled as Running with Friends almost a year ago, we really enjoyed the app, naming it our AppAdvice Game of the Week shortly after its release. It gained the single player functionality with an update in November.
