Keep your baked goods safe, because more than a year after its Kickstarter campaign gained over $25,000 in funding Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake is set to launch on the App Store next week.
You can expect the anticipated game to launch on Thursday, to be precise, and it'll enjoy a simultaneous release on both the Google Play store and Steam.
Promising gamers an "environmental puzzle solving" experience similar to Nintendo's much-loved The Legend of Zelda game series, the developer -- SleepNinja -- explained last year that it was "expanding on old school gameplay mechanics and transforming them into something new."
Over at its Kickstarter project, SleepNinja added:
You’ll need to use the problem-solving powers of your mind and the skills of your monster allies to conquer each mind bending level. Freeze, scorch, corrode, dig, teleport, and even move across outer dimensions on your cake-fueled journey of vengeance.Backers will indeed receive a copy of the game, though as of this writing we're unsure how much Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake is going to cost for the rest of us. With a release date that's indeed planned for next Thursday, however, we don't have long to wait until we find out. As mentioned, Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake will launch on the App Store next week. We'll let you know once it's available to download.
