Gloup Goes 2.0 With New Messenger Featuring Snapchat-Like Videos
June 30, 2014
Gloup, the video-sharing app that earned recognition as AppAdvice's App of the Week shortly after its release last November, has just been updated to version 2.0 with a significant new feature.
As succinctly described in our original review, Gloup is a video-sharing app that's something of "a cross between Snapchat's new 'stories' feature and Vine's idea of 6-second clips." But the app is focused on sharing one-second clips about different topics, challenges, and questions.
And now, the just-released Gloup 2.0 lets you keep in touch with other Gloupers, especially your fans on the platform, via the new Gloup Messenger:
With its beautiful, sleek, and clean design, you will want to keep chatting forever. With our dynamic color-changing backgrounds, even waiting for an answer is a great pleasure. Enjoy!Gloup Messenger lets you send text messages and record other Gloupers' reactions to your videos in real time. And taking another page from Snapchat's ephemeral messaging book, the new feature also lets you send videos that automatically disappear after a set time. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Gloup 2.0 is available now on the App Store for free.
