Welcome back and happy Friday. In this edition, we highlight a great Bluetooth speaker, an interesting charging cable, and more. Soundfreaq Pocket Kick Soundfreaq’s new Pocket Kick is a follow-up to its spectacular Sound Kick, which I reviewed back in 2012. Along with a beautiful design, the speaker is portable enough to be placed in a bag or purse and also comes with an integrated lanyard and loop. It offers music lovers a pair of custom engineered drivers and a passive radiator for maximum sound. The built-in battery can play up to 10 hours of music before needing to be recharged with a standard micro-USB cable. Users can even take calls with the built-in microphone. Available in platinum, gold, and black, the Pocket Kick retails for $99.99 and can be purchased from Soundfreaq’s site now. Adonit Jot Touch with Pixelpoint Designed for digital artists, Adonit’s new Jot Touch with Pixelpoint stylus connects to an iPad with Bluetooth 4.0 technology and can sense up to 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity. The first third-party stylus that can connect to Adobe’s Creative Cloud, it offers a fine-point tip that measures just 3.18mm. It weighs 20 grams, and the built-in battery lasts up to a month in sleep mode and 11 hours of usage. The stylus can be used with all Jot Ready apps. The Jot Touch with Pixelpoint retails for $119.99 and can be purchased from Adonit’s site now. DockStubz for Lightning from CableJive A small adapter for audio docks or charging stations, the DockStubz for Lightning is compatible with the iPhone 5s/5 and iPhone 5c. With the adapter, users can charge their phone or listen to music without needing to remove a case. DockStubz for Lightning retails for $16.95 and is available on CableJive’s site now. Along with the Lightning version, buyers can also select from a 30-pin version of the device. Tablet Agility System from OtterBox An interesting case and stand system for Apple’s iPads, the Tablet Agility System from OtterBox consists of a number of different components. The shell is the main part of the system, offering drop protection and acting as a mount for the three other folios, wall mount, dock, and power dock. OtterBox didn’t announce pricing for the system, but did say it would be available soon at its site, select Best Buy retail locations, and BestBuy.com. There will be a version of the system available for the iPad Air, iPad 2-4, and iPad mini with Retina display. More information can be found here. JUMP from Native Union Native Union’s JUMP is a Lightning charging cable with an extra surprise – an 800 mAH backup battery. Weighing less than 1.4 ounces, it can provide iPhone 5s users with up to 3 hours of extra talk time. A battery status indicator shows users how much juice is left in the JUMP.
