Unread For iPad Unfolds With Same Great Features As Original iPhone Version
June 9, 2014
A few days ago, Unread, the RSS reader app created by Riposte co-developer Jared Sinclair, received an update that delivered a number of improvements. Somewhere in the update's release notes, Sinclair subtly announced that the app's iPad version would be released on June 9. Well, said iPad version is out now in the form of Unread for iPad.
First and foremost, Unread for iPad comes not through a universal update to the original Unread app for iPhone and iPod touch. Rather, it comes as a brand new app with its own download price, which is the same as the iPhone version's: $4.99.
For $4.99, you get pretty much the same features as those found in Unread for iPhone. You have full-screen reading, easy navigation, multiple themes, and OverShareKit-powered article sharing.
Those are on top of Unread's other key features, including background refresh support, linked-list article optimization, large inline thumbnail previews, footnote popovers, and a non-transient in-app Web browser.
Compatible with iPad and iPad mini running iOS 7.0 or later, Unread for iPad is available now in the App Store for $4.99.
