Unread RSS Reader Updated With Improvements, iPad Version Coming Soon

Unread, the RSS reader app created by Riposte co-developer Jared Sinclair, has just received another update.
Unread was released in early February, shortly after which it earned an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention. It got its first update later that month and its second one in April. On both occasions, it gained a number of new features and improvements.
This time, with its third update, is no different. The latest update to Unread brings the following new features:
The update also includes various changes and fixes. Refer to its release notes in the App Store or right within Unread for the nitty-gritty details. The new version of Unread is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $4.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. As announced by Sinclair in a line tucked somewhere in the update's release notes, Unread for iPad is scheduled to be released on Monday, June 9. - Vastly improved scroll performance, especially on older devices.
- You can now tug down the refresh control extra far to see the most recent refresh date.
- Long press on a folder to open it as a list of articles or subscriptions (the opposite of your default preference).
- Long press on Unread, All Articles, or Starred to show a list of subscriptions instead of a list of articles.
- Shake to clear read items. If you're viewing a list of unread articles, shaking the device will clear the read items from the list. Saves you from having to go out and back into the list.
- Tapping the footer bar scrolls to the bottom of the current screen.
- Web view toolbars now change to light or dark mode based on the background color of the current page.
- Added a Release Notes screen.
