Acclaimed Journal App Day One Goes Free As Apple's App Of The Week
July 4, 2014
Day One, the award-winning journal app developed by Bloom Built, has just been featured by Apple as its free App of the Week on the App Store.
We here at AppAdvice has been huge fans of Day One, which was recently updated with new Publish features (see video below), since its release in March 2011. And Apple basically echoes our positive sentiments about the universal iOS app in its App Store Notes:
Each week, we select a great app and bring it to you, for free, as our App of the Week. (In-App Purchases sold separately.) Chronicle life's memorable moments with a journaling app whose sleek design makes it incredibly easy to use. As you add text and photos to new entries, Day One automatically logs your location, the current temperature, and other information. Optional reminders will encourage you to update regularly, and with Day One's smart organization and intuitive search features, finding specific events in your diary is a snap.If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Normally priced at $4.99, Day One is free to download on the App Store at least until next Thursday, July 10. Day One previously went free in celebration of the App Store's fifth anniversary a year ago. Concurrent with Day One's being free now, Bloom Built is offering the app's Mac edition on sale. Day One for Mac, which recently won an Apple Design Award, is available on the Mac App Store at the 30-percent-off price of $6.99 until July 10.
