On the App Store, Apple has a new featured banner up titled "Split-Second Video," highlighting some notable apps for instant moviemaking. One of these apps is Cinamatic, which happens to be Apple's free App of the Week. Developed by Hipstamatic as a follow-up to its flagship namesake app and Oggl photo app, Cinamatic offers an easy way to create short films enhanced with video filters and share them straight to social media. As explained by Apple in its App Store Notes:
Each week, we select a great app and bring it to you, for free, as our App of the Week. (In-App Purchases sold separately.) Created with the same polish as Hipstamatic's popular photography apps, Cinamatic lets you shoot, stylize, and then share your videos. Its clean, understated interface puts filming first, and a bevy of intuitive features and colorful filters can add visual twists to your videos before you post them to Facebook, Instagram, and Vine.Take a look at Cinamatic's demo video: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Previously priced at $0.99, Cinamatic is available to download on the App Store for free from today through Wednesday next week at least. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.1 or later. Released last May for iPhone and iPod touch, Cinamatic received its universal update last month, thereby gaining native compatibility with iPad and iPad mini. At the same time, it gained new tools and Pro features. It was first updated a month prior with new films, Twitter sharing, and other improvements.
