Hipstamatic Updates Cinamatic With New Films, Twitter Sharing And More

May 24, 2014
Just over a couple of weeks after its launch, Cinamatic has received its first notable update. Developed by Hipstamatic, Cinamatic offers an easy way to create short films enhanced with video filters and share them straight to Vine, Instagram, or Facebook. The latest update to the app enables recording in landscape orientation. It also introduces two new free films, called Terry and Laurent, bundled with the app and a free black and white film, called Toshiro, available in the in-app shop. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Moreover, the update adds the ability to share Vines to Twitter (Vine-connected Twitter account required), plus the following welcome changes:
  • Basic video stabilization
  • Location and other metadata are now saved with your videos to your photo library
  • Fixes a bug with shooting with the front-facing camera in iPhone 4 / iPhone 4S
  • Other bug fixes and improvements
The new version of Cinamatic is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. Shortly after its release, Cinamatic earned an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention. For more information, check out our original review of Cinamatic. Cinamatic is the second follow-up to Hipstamatic's namesake app. The first was the anti-Instagram photo app Oggl, which was launched last year. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
