One of my favorite image editing apps, PhotoToaster, has just received a nice update with the move to version 6.5.
First up, the app now features a new home screen with a tutorial and community section that is dynamically updated with new content.
The image presets have also been revamped to take advantage of a long list of new adjustments:
Separate channel processing lets you to bend colors in new and interesting ways. Black & white conversion controls to create the exact look you want. A new fade adjustment, great mood enhancer. White balance (temperature and tint) have been reworked for more accurate results. The center point of a blurred vignette can now be repositioned by dragging on the screen.A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, PhotoToaster can be downloaded now on the App Store for $2.99. Before today’s update, the last major changes to the app arrived back in April. Version 6.0 offered a new photo picker and a number of new tools. For other app news and reviews today, see: Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft expansion, Curse of Naxxramas, arrives on Tuesday, Gree, Ubisoft and PlayNext team up to develop Assassin's Creed Memories, and TV show management app iShows updated with iCloud integration and more features.
